Once upon a time in a fairytale land lived an ugly green ogre Shrek who, after being mocked and feared his whole life by anything who crosses his path, retreats to an ugly green swamp to exist in happy isolation. However, his life is turned upside-down when a gang of homeless fairytale creatures raid his peaceful sanctuary, claiming the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad has evicted them. Shrek makes a deal with them. He’ll get their homes back if they give him his swamp back. But first Shrek must meet Farquaad’s demand - to rescue Princess Fiona. Shrek begrudgingly obliges, but soon discovers this princess is not what she seems. And he likes it. But why does she keep running off when the sun sets?
